Mandate and operations

Since 2004, the Foundation has been supporting community-oriented, non-profit projects across the world. It focuses on three areas of action: Development aid and humanitarian emergencies; Social inclusion through work and social links; Environmental conservation and biodiversity.

In the field of access to water in emergency situations, the Veolia Foundation has designed a range of mobile water treatment units designed for emergency use, regularly tested and deployed in the field with our partners: Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, Médecins du Monde, the French Red Cross, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Centre.
